Two of the Big guns of Techno, teamed up together to launch their latest collaborative music Label Odd Recordings. Home to Techno stars Arjun Vagale and Ramiro Lopez, Odd Recordings is an Indo-Spanish record label. It creates futuristic electronic music, with an emphasis on the raw side of Techno!
The Tour
In Feb 2017, Odd Recordings took the music scene by storm. From their very first release titled: We are ODD, which is a two-track EP; They received lots of support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Enrico Sangiuliano, Sam Paganini, Bart Skils, Victor Ruiz, Lee Van Dowski, Fatima Hajji, and international legends like Carl Cox.
Following the release, on March 2017, Arjun Vagale and Ramiro Lopez toured India; for the launch of ODD recordings. This four-city tour took them to Summer house Cafe in Mumbai and Delhi, BPM in Hyderabad and Euriska in Pune.
We caught up with these two Techno giants at I Love Music Academy; while they were on the Delhi leg of their tour. Our students got an exclusive “Up Close and Personal Workshop with Ramiro Lopez” while Arjun Vagale played host during the workshop.
Arjun Vagale
Vagale needs no introduction in the music community. Arjun is Fondly dubbed as India’s Techno King and India’s biggest export to the global Techno scene. With chart-topping records with some of the biggest international labels; he is responsible for putting India on the map for Techno.
Unmute Agency, I Love Music Academy and now Odd Recordings; Arjun Vagale has presented the world with the best of what is possible in Techno from India and beyond.
Ramiro Lopez
The shining star in the Techno universe, Ramiro Lopez; has been making waves in the music scene since 2006. His music has always inspired and he has a versatile style playing multiple genres. With his current focus on Techno, Ramiro recently released an EP with one of the biggest Techno labels in the world, Drumcode Records.
