Learn Audio Engineering to Master everything Audio! Learn to Record, Produce, Mix & Master audio to perfection in a studio environment. Ready for a career in Audio with Synthesis, Sound Design and Audio for Video.
Audio Engineering is the profession of working with the technical aspects of audio on specialised equipment to shape the sound of a recording or live performance, manipulating adding, editing and transforming the sound to its desired outcome via mixing, reproduction, reinforcement, audio effects and processing sound.
An audio engineer can be a studio engineer or a live sound engineer. The base knowledge of both would be similar, but their functions are based on where & how they work.
The Live engineer is responsible for engineering the audio of live events, for bands, Dj’s, musicians, theatre performances, weddings, conferences, etc; so there are no do overs and everything has to be just right to ensure the desired audio output is consistent.
The studio engineer is responsible for recording and editing of audio in a studio for any purpose. If need be, Studio engineers have the added luxury of multiple takes and do-overs till the desired audio outcome is just right.
Almost all music heard today has been through the hands and ears of an audio engineer at some point. Audio engineers can further specialise as Music producers where they oversee the entire process of recording and electronic music production or specialise in one part of the process as Recording, Mixing and/or Mastering.
“Ready for a career in Audio, this Program will help you write your own music, engineer a band or a live performance artist in the studio or in a live setting. Master everything Audio!”
The science behind capturing sound using microphones and their recording techniques.
Acoustics play an important role in how you perceive and listen to music. Obtain a deeper understanding of different kinds of acoustic spaces and their effect on sound.
Pro Production training in all three DAWS: Ableton Live | Logic Pro X | Cubase
Ableton Live is a software music sequencer and digital audio workstation for macOS and Windows. In contrast to many other software sequencers, Live is designed to be an instrument for live performances as well as music production with tools for composing, recording, arranging, mixing and mastering, as shown by Ableton’s companion hardware product, Ableton Push.
Logic Pro is Apple’s professional music production software. The software offers audio recording functionality alongside world-class virtual instruments, effects, and thousands of high-quality audio samples and loops. It features a one-time license purchase with feature-rich updates that are free life-long for Apple users. A favourite among composers and home studio professionals – Logic Pro remains one of the leading software suites in the music industry.
Cubase is a popular cross-platform (macOS and Windows) DAW that is primarily MIDI and plugin instrument based. A pioneer in Audio Technology having introduced VST’s as well as a bridge between Audio devices and software in the early 90’s, Steinberg Cubase is arguably the most powerful music production DAW when it comes to MIDI, and it is no surprise that it is the DAW of choice for legendary film composers such as Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL. Similar in the workflow and UI of Logic Pro, it has a very large user base among PC users.
Explore & Manipulate various parameters of Sound using both Hardware and Software Synthesizers to create your own unique sound.
Enhance the visual experience of film/television through the medium of sound.
Music surrounds us everywhere – on the TV and radio, at restaurants and bars, and even in the elevator you use to get to work every day. You may not realise it, but this is all part of the world of Sound and Audio Engineers, in which a musician’s creations are ‘produced’ and thereby transformed into the polished tracks on your iPods and radio.
Of all our senses, vision is considered the dominant sense. Yet somehow hearing or audio is the most stimulating. Audio enhances our visual experience and helps us better understand the environment around us.
Audio engineering is the future of digital music. With the help of virtual and hardware instruments, engineers use computers to produce their own compositions. Our comprehensive Diploma Program will show you how to put down your ideas and those of other musicians, record in our recording studio and produce in the production suite to achieve a professional sound. At I Love Music Academy, we’ll start Audio engineering by covering the theory and different styles of music. Next, we’ll explore the recording studio space, with an emphasis on audio mixing techniques, sound transmission, audio dynamics, then mixing and mastering techniques, both in the analogue and digital realms. Students of Audio engineering are taught the ins and outs of the DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). All these concepts will be followed up with hands-on projects in which students will need to log in studio time. Our Recording Studio is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software for Audio Engineering.
Be it for tracking an Artist in a Band Recording or enhancements and designing sound for other media like Film, Television or Game audio, we cover it all, including the 3 vitals of Audio for Visual Media – human voice (Recording), music (Scoring) and sound effects(Fx). These form a core part of this course in the Audio Post Production module for Audio Engineering.

We encourage our students to seek out challenging assignments and make fame their goal for success. The journey to fame is through the quality of work and music that they release. Here we showcase some of our talented students, who have put their technical and music sensibilities out there and gained recognition though their assignments & music. We wish them all the fame and success and are proud to have been a part of their journey.
