ODD recordings launch their new vinyl series ODDWAX. Within a relatively short period the label has managed to gain the attention of DJ s and ravers alike – with tracks like Pachamama that was championed by Carl Cox for months; Radiate which was played numerous times at BPM Festival & Awakenings; Nagelbett thats been hammered by Adam Beyer for the last year & Oddball (Sasha Carassi Remix) that caused a riot in Ibiza this season with multiple plays from Sasha & Digweed.
Odd Recordings is a futuristic new Indo-Spanish cross-pollinated record label with an emphasis on the raw side of techno, run by Arjun Vagale and Ramiro Lopez.
When I started playing music, over 20 years ago, I dreamed of seeing my name on vinyl. I love the medium—it’s what I learnt to mix on. Growing up in India we had zero record stores, so we sourced them from anyone traveling abroad — and that made each record so precious. When I started my first label, I always hoped that we would do vinyl —but somehow it never happened. Maybe it wasn’t the right time. So when Ramiro Lopez and I started Odd Recordings last year, I was determined to bring that dream to life. We worked all year to make it happen, and today it’s finally a reality.
