Thom Yorke, the Radiohead frontman has announced that his solo studio album, “Anima,” will be released digitally on June 27 on XL Recordings along with a short film.
In a teaser trailer, Netflix described the “musical film”, which will be set to three tracks from Yorke’s new album and in which he will star, as “a mind-bending visual piece” that is “best played loud”.
The one-reeler film will be set to feature three ANIMA tracks. And Yorke is set to both score and star in the production. Netflix, which released a trailer today, called the film a “mind-bending visual piece” and says it’s best played loud.
The short musical film is directed by Radiohead frequent collaborator, Paul Thomas Anderson. Paul has been nominated for five Academy Awards. There Will Be Blood for Best Achievement in Directing, Best Motion Picture of the Year, and Best Adapted Screenplay; Magnolia for Best Original Screenplay; and Boogie Nights for Best Original Screenplay.

Thom also announced that he would tour North America in September, after his European shows in June and July.
Radiohead released an 18-hours of private recordings from its album OK Computer after being hacked by a person who demanded $150,000 to return the recordings.
The band uploaded the 1.8-gigabyte collection of recording session outtakes and rare live performances on Bandcamp, and the proceeds will go to climate activists Extinction Rebellion.
